FAQ

Surprised Paul looking goofy!
My son and his classic surprised look. 🙂

Here are answers to frequently asked questions asked about my work and other things…

How do you make all this stuff?

Well…I spend a lot of time deciding what my creations will be and a lot of time making them. Each piece is a little different so describing how and what varies between each thing.

What is this stuff made out of? It looks like wood!

I work in different materials than the usual jewelry artist. Most of my pieces are made from an artist grade shrink plastic. You will also find paper, resin, metals, beads, and other oddball things.

Do you teach jewelry classes?

I do from time to time. Teaching is fun but not my passion so classes are sporadic. Please think about signing up for my mailing list to be the first to know when I do! 2021 note: I am working on some online classes that include how to do some of the things you see on the website. First one will be free! Follow me on Instagram (susanmwb) or Fb (Susan’s Charming Trinkets) to be the first to know!

How many shows do you do a year?

These days I average about 7-8 yearly. A few years back I was running around doing more like 15-20. I’m now at a point where I would like to put back a couple more but I am also tweaking my art a bit. So it may be a bit longer before I commit to more.

Do you do just jewelry?

Uh no…the list is long! Everything from painting to mosaic to sewing and a little bit in between. More sewing is showing up more and more with small jewelry zipper bags and key fobs. Custom shirts are next. You never know what you may find around here!

Where is your studio?

Currently my studio is at home but that may change over the course of the next couple years. To what? I’m not sure yet but will let you know. I am always a work in progress!
